26 Jun Year 6 – Stubbers Adventure Park
Our Year 6 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting and memorable day trip to Stubbers Adventure Centre, where they were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones and challenge themselves both physically and mentally. Throughout the day, the children took part in a variety of adventurous activities designed to build confidence, resilience and problem-solving skills. From tackling demanding physical challenges to overcoming mental obstacles, every pupil demonstrated determination and a positive attitude. Many children faced activities that initially seemed daunting, but with encouragement and perseverance, they succeeded in pushing themselves further than they thought possible.
A key focus of the day was teamwork: pupils were required to work closely with one another, communicating effectively, sharing ideas and supporting their peers to complete a range of group challenges. Whether navigating an obstacle course, solving team tasks or encouraging each other through difficult activities, the children showed excellent cooperation and respect throughout the day. At the same time, the trip provided opportunities for individual achievement, as pupils were encouraged to take personal responsibility, face their own fears and develop independence. It was wonderful to see so many children displaying courage, determination and a willingness to try something new.
The day was filled with laughter, enthusiasm and a real sense of accomplishment. All accompanying staff were incredibly proud of the way the pupils represented the school, demonstrating excellent behaviour, positive attitudes and a commitment to giving every activity their best effort. One pupil commented that the trip was a “fantastic experience that helped her develop important life skills while creating lasting memories”.
By challenging themselves both individually and as part of a team, our Year 6 pupils proved just how capable, resilient and supportive they can be. It was a truly successful day and one that will be remembered for years to come.
