DT – How can we build a bridge?
To continue with our ‘Budding Builders’ unit; we started looking at what a bridge is and how we can build one. We looked at various bridges around the world, e.g. The Golden Gate Bridge, Tower Bridge and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Whilst we looked at them, we spoke about what they were made of and the fact that they needed to be strong. Then the pupils experimented with using different things to make bridges. We also linked this to our text – ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’.
