16 Jul Reception – How do we create shadows?
We pulled the blinds down in the classroom so it was dark and shone a torch onto the white board. We found out that we could create shadows with our hands by blocking the light. We noticed that the shadow got smaller as we moved our hands away from the light. We then went outside and stood in the sun, we watched our shadows as we moved around and noticed that the shadows moved too. We then drew around our shadows. In the afternoon we went out again and noticed that our shadows were longer.
