15 May Year 6
SATs
This week, our Year 6 pupils have shown exactly what it means to rise to a challenge! Throughout four demanding days of SATs tests, they demonstrated incredible resilience, determination and grit, drawing upon years of learning, knowledge, concepts and methods to tackle a wide range of questions with confidence and maturity.
What stood out most was not simply their academic ability, but their attitude: each morning, they arrived focused and prepared. During every test, they remained calm under pressure and approached each paper with composure and perseverance. Afterward, they regrouped maturely, reflected positively and immediately turned their attention to revising for the next challenge ahead – at no point did they allow the tests to get the better of them. That is growth.
Our Year 6 children have shown that success is not only measured by scores, but by character, mindset and determination. They supported one another, trusted in their preparation and continued to push themselves, even when things felt difficult. We are incredibly proud of every single pupil for the effort, courage and maturity they have shown this week. They should leave this experience knowing they have already achieved something truly special.
