19 Jun Year 4 – Geography
In our Geography lessons, we have been learning about volcanoes and why they occur. We have discovered what happens when a volcano erupts. We have discussed how a volcano could be extinct, dormant or active. This week, we have been researching volcanic activity around the world, focusing upon the following volcanoes, Eyjafjallajokull in Iceland, Kileaueu in Hawaii, and Yellowstone in the USA. We have seen great teamwork as the children have worked together in small groups to gather and present interesting information about their chosen volcano.
