12 Jun Year 3 – History
This week, Year 3 learnt about Howard Carter and his famous discovery of the tomb of the boy king – Tutankhamun. The children took part in role play so they could empathise with Howard Carter and try to imagine how he felt when he made his discovery. Pupils then used this experience to write a diary entry, in the role of Howard Carter, using the various features we discussed in class. Pupils were able to combine their learning from both English and History to create their detailed diary entries.
