This week in Year 2, we rolled up our sleeves, got our hands a little muddy, and began an exciting new science project – planting seeds! Before planting, we talked about what plants need to grow: soil, water, sunlight and the right temperature! Then, we carefully placed our seeds into pots, covered them with soil, and gave them a gentle drink of water. To make our experiment even more interesting, we put some plants in different places around the classroom and school. Some will grow in the sunny windowsill, some in a shady corner, and a few in cooler spots. We can’t wait to see how these different conditions affect their growth!
