In our DT lessons this half term we are learning how to make fish puppets. Over the last two weeks, we have been exploring a range of techniques that we can use. During the first week, we looked at how we could join two pieces of material together. We learned how to tape, staple, glue and sew an over stitch! This week we explored ‘finishing’ a product by adding detail. First, we glued google eyes down. Then, we glued sequins down to represent the scales. After that we stapled a tail to our piece. Finally, we used the fabric pens to add a smile and some gills. We were so proud with our end product! We cannot wait to design and make our final puppet in the next upcoming weeks!
