05 Jun The ARP – Cooking jam tarts!
Despite the weather we have had a good start to our new half term. We made jam tarts using the rubbing and kneading method to make our own pastry! First, we sieved the flour and rubbed the butter in to make a bread crumb texture. Next, we added a small amount of milk and mixed it all together. Then, we had to roll the pastry out flat. Once, it was just right we cut out circles and put them in a bun tin. Finally, we added a teaspoon of jam. Once they were cooked, we ate them – YUM! Look how hard we concentrated and worked together as a team.
