This week in Rabbit Class we did some cooking linked to our text – ‘The Little Red Hen’. In the story, the hen works hard to plant, harvest and bake bread but when she asks her farm friends for help at each stage, they refuse! This is until the end, when they then want to help her eat the bread. During this half term, we have spoken about the story and discussed how we should work together; helping each other with things. With this in mind, we took the ingredients: bread flour, yeast, water and salt. Then mixed them together to form a dough. Once the dough was made, we kneaded and then rolled it out. We worked together in groups to make the bread and it was very tasty!
