17 Apr Year 6 – Drama
Year 6 has started writing this term focusing on the aspect of being stranded in an unfamiliar setting. They read extracts from The Explorer by Katherine Rundell and Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo, identifying emotive language and themes that make an engaging adventure story. They dramatised thoughts and feelings in a conscience alley and learnt how our inner monologue helps us to problem solve. The children then transferred their ideas onto paper to help with their writing.
