14 Nov Year 6 – Character Description
This term, Year 6 will revisit all of the skills they have learnt in Year 5 – revealing a character through their actions, appearance and setting. They will focus especially on revealing a character through the use of dialogue. This week, the children began their new unit with a creative hook, they picked from a gallery of familiar characters and used different forms to describe their character to the class. Some children created a ‘Wanted’ Poster, some wrote an introductory narrative, some interviewed each other and others created riddles to describe their characters. This allowed the children to gain a deeper understanding of how a character can be described.
