12 Dec Year 5 – Multiplication Wheels
This week, in Maths we began our new unit of multiplication and division by creating our own ‘multiplication wheels’. We then used these to explore and compare patterns in different timetables. We spotted patterns such as, in the 5 timetables all digits end in 5 or 0, creating a straight line up and down on our ‘multiplication wheel’. Another example is all multiples of 8 end with an even number, creating a pentagon on our ‘multiplication wheel’.
