This week in Geography, started our lessons about ‘Locational Knowledge’ by using an atlas to locate cities in the United Kingdom. We found out England has more cities than any other country in the United Kingdom. We also learnt the difference between a city, town and village. Lastly, as a class we also discussed how the cluster of inland cities, in England grew up as industrial centres in the Industrial Revolution and how cities around the coast developed as a result of sea trade.
