07 Mar Year 4 – Science
This week in Science, we have been exploring the concept of electricity by constructing an array of series circuits in simple experiments to help us understand how electricity works. We learned about the different sources of energy, the pathway needed for electrons to flow through a circuit, how components respond to the flow of current and what happens should a component fail. Through conducting these experiments independently in small groups, we learned how electrical energy is converted into other forms of energy: light energy in the bulb, mechanical energy in the motor and sound energy in the buzzer.
