In Science this week, we have been exploring sound. We discovered that the pitch of a sound depends on how high or low a sound is. We also discovered that soundwaves travel slowly when the pitch is low and quickly when the pitch is high. Our discovery led us wanting to investigate: “How can we change the pitch of a sound on an instrument? We used glockenspiels for our investigation and identified that the smaller keys made a higher pitched sound whilst the bigger keys made a lower pitched sound.
