In Maths this week, we extended our understanding of tenths by exploring them on a number line. We used a range of concrete resources to help reinforce each pupil’s understanding of dividing a number line into ten equal parts, so they can clearly see where each tenth fits between whole numbers. Working both independently and in pairs, pupils labelled and placed tenths correctly on a number line, using a mix of hands-on activities and interactive learning, which helped to build their confidence in their ability to work with decimals.
