14 Nov Year 4 – Exploring Sound
In Science this week, we have been exploring sound. We began our learning with a range of experiments to investigate how sound is created. We hit a tuning fork on a hard surface then watched what happened when we put it into water. We explored what happened to the paperclips when we hit the drum. We held our fingers against our voice box. All of these experiments were great fun and showed us how sound is created by vibrations. Our next lesson focused upon how sound travels, both through the air and through different mediums such as water and the table top.
