12 Dec Year 1 – The first flight!
This week, we have been learning about the first ever flight! We watched a video of the flight and found out that the plane flew for 12 seconds over 37 meters. We then went outside to take part in an experiment. We measured how far the plane flew by using a trundle wheel, we set up our timer and tested if we could run the distance in 12 seconds. After that we used the trundle wheel to measure how far we managed to run. We were very impressed with how far we had travelled! We came back to class and explored how the plane worked, by looking at the different parts and using our bodies to create them. We cannot wait to find out even more!
