13 Mar Nursery – World Book Day
Last week we celebrated World Book Day at Parsloes and we enjoyed the day having the opportunity to read for pleasure. We spent time reading the book ‘Dear Zoo’ by Rod Campbell; bringing it to life by making boxes with the animals inside. As well as this, it was so lovely to invite our parents in to read with their children in our classroom and share stories together. Later that morning we also read with Year 6 pupils, which everyone enjoyed and something that we would really like to do more often! It was positive to see the interaction between the pupils and the Nursery children were captivated by the books that were being read to them. Remember: ‘Reading is an adventure that never ends!’
