Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring Term 2026 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
School Allotment
Our school allotment is looking marvellous! The gardening club have been working so hard each week, planting, caring and tending to the variety of vegetables they have grown from seed. Well done to all and a special thank you to Mrs Crane who leads the school club. If you would like your child to be part of this club please see a member of the office and add their name to the waiting list for September.

Let’s Get Set for Nursery!
This week we welcomed our Nursery pupils who will join us in September 2026. This was the second week they have come along to visit the school and there are another four exciting weeks for the children to visit. Each week a new topic is discussed while the children explore and play in the Nursery.
This week we welcomed one of our local school nurses, Freda who spoke about toilet training and healthy eating. Topics to come include, Oral health, Communication and Language and Musical Movement. If there are any topics that you feel you would like more information about please do see a member of the office staff who will let me know.
Junior Citizen Event
This week our Year 6 pupils attended Barking and Dagenham’s Junior Citizens event. The scheme is funded through the Barking and Dagenham Metropolitan Police Service and the London Borough of Barking Barking and Dagenham Council.
Junior Citizens is run in partnership by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Metropolitan Police, and Safer Transport Team. Pupils learn about a variety of important lessons, including staying safe and how to be a good citizen as they grow older.
Please see next week’s Year 6 blog for more information about the event

SAVE THE DATE – Sports Day
Thursday 2nd July
Sports Day provides children with opportunities to develop their physical skills, confidence and teamwork. Once again this year events will include running, jumping, throwing and other activities to improve co-ordination, balance, strength and overall fitness. Once again we will invite families and carers to join us to make the day special. There will of course be the annual staff / parents and carer race. See you there. More information to follow!

It’s that time of year again when it’s time to say farewell to our current class teacher. On Wednesday 17th June the children will be having their class photos taken so please ensure they are in full school uniform and looking super smart for their class photo!
