Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring Term 2026 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back!
This week we welcomed back our pupils who have been busy learning about their new themes. Please see below for the new theme for this half term. I hope you enjoyed the half term and the tropical weather.
Curriculum Themes
Working Together for Success
Our curriculum themes are carefully designed to inspire curiosity, deepen knowledge, and help children make meaningful connections across different subjects. Through engaging themes and real-world learning opportunities, pupils will develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for the future.
New learning is important because it broadens children’s understanding of the world, encourages critical thinking, and helps them become resilient, independent learners.
Working with parents plays a vital role in this journey. By showing interest in learning, discussing school experiences, reading together, and encouraging curiosity at home, parents help reinforce learning and demonstrate that education is valued. When school and home work in partnership, children are more likely to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Look out for the school entry and exits points that you will be able to share with your child. We look forward to seeing you then!

Welcome back to Miss Begum
This term we welcome back Miss Begum who returns to Parsloes. She returns after her maternity leave. Please join me in welcoming her back!
Thought of the week
What does it mean to be resilient?
Next week our thought of the week will be ‘What does it mean to be resilient?’ Being resilient means keeping going when learning is challenging and not to give up even if we make mistakes. Resilient children learn from setbacks, stay positive, ask for help when needed and show determination to achieve their goals and overcome difficulties. As parents we aim to model these strategies to our children and support them to adopt the above techniques.
This week in the Nursery the pupils showed their resilience skills when they were given building challenges to complete. They have tried to build towers taller than their friends and teachers, without them falling down. They persevered until they achieved the challenge.
