Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring Term 2025 Newsletter – Edition 52
Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 6 SATS
Our Year 6 pupils will sit their SATS tests during the week beginning 12th May. The Standard Assessments Tests (SATS) provide a snapshot of pupils’ attainment in reading, maths, grammar at the end of Key Stage 2. Our staff and pupils are aware of the importance of these tests and are supporting the pupils to reach their full potential. Year 6 pupils will receive a light breakfast each morning in school to set them up for the day. Please see the letter sent out last week for more details about SATS week. We wish our wonderful Year 6 pupils’ every success.
Save the Date – Thursday 8th May
VE day (Victory in Europe) celebrations

This year is the 80th anniversary of VE day. We will be celebrating at Parsloes on Thursday 8th May and learning about VE day and it’s historical importance.
This will be a non uniform day. We ask that your child wears red, white or blue to celebrate the colours of the union flag or dress as a child from the 1940s. From 12.15 – 12.45 parents and carers are invited to come along to join us for a special picnic lunch. Entry will be via the Spurling Road gate. We look forward to celebrating this day with you. More information will follow next week.
Nursery 2025 – 2026
Our Nursery places are filling very quickly but we do have a few places left. If you have a child who will be turning four years of age between September 2025 and August 2026 you are able to apply for a place by completing a form, available from our school office. We offer part time and full time places. If you want to get your child’s education off to a flying start come along and collect a form or pop in to have a chat to find out more.
Lunch Menu – Summer Term
Some of our Year 6 pupils have been helping us to redesign our lunch menu. We are pleased to say this is now in place. Please see the link below.
