19 Dec Musical Concerts
Parsloes Music Concert – a showcase unlike any other!
WOW – what a fantastic start to the musical year! Last week, Years 2 -6 put on a concert that left the audience on their feet with pride. We are incredibly proud of all the pupils who took part in our first concert of the year. Each performer showcased their unique musical talents to a packed room of proud parents and carers, filling the space with confidence and creativity. Nerves were left at the door as pupils played an exciting range of instruments, from recorders to Glockenspiels to bass guitars. A special highlight came from Josiah of Rocksteady, who closed the concert with lively performances from our music tuition groups, complete with enthusiastic audience participation! A massive well done to everyone involved. Thank you to everyone who completed the feedback form, it is clear that you enjoy the performances and would like to see more. Keep an eye out for details of our future concerts in the new year! 🎶
CMS Orchestra – A musical fairy-tale
This week, we were delighted to welcome the CMS Orchestra into our school for an inspiring and memorable musical visit. From the moment they began to play, our pupils were completely engaged by their brilliant performances and infectious enthusiasm for music. The musicians encouraged active participation through fun musical quizzes, helping pupils to recognise that music surrounds us in everyday life. A lively range of songs had everyone tapping along, grooving to the rhythm and well and truly getting into the Christmas spirit. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to see and hear a variety of instrument families up close, learning about their roles and importance within an orchestra. The visit not only entertained but also deepened pupils’ understanding and appreciation of music, leaving them inspired and excited to continue their own musical journeys. We are incredibly grateful to the CMS Orchestra for such an enjoyable and educational experience. 🎶
