14 Nov Year 6 – The Great War
Year 6 had a fantastic afternoon of looking at WW1 artefacts as the Entry Point of our new wider curriculum theme, ‘The Great War’.
The children were fascinated by the news articles, postcards, letters, Morse coding device and periscope! Not only that, they also discovered how airships, such as the Zeppelin, were used by Germany against Britain in 1915. To finish off the afternoon, they learned about conscription and how soldiers were recruited.
We can’t wait to find out more about WW1!
