11 Jul Year 5 – PE
Year 5 have enjoyed their PE unit for the Summer term, as they worked in teams to navigate across the lava using limited resources. During their orienteering lessons, they learned the importance of working as a team to reach the desired outcomes. When resources were limited, they worked together to share ideas and took turns to lead from the back as well as support from the back. At the beginning, there was a lot of re-starts and disagreements about whose idea was the best; as the weeks progressed, their listening and negotiating skills developed and we have ended the term with a new found appreciation of the word ‘patience’. We applauded everyone at the end for their resilience, support and managerial skills.
