21 Mar Year 5 – Music
Year 5 have mastered the art of note-reading and can now proudly play along to simple melodies using Glockenspiels. We have been learning how to play Erie Canal by studying the varying duration of different notes (semibreves, minims, crotchets and quavers) and also the impact of knowing when and how long to rest – in order to keep in time with the pulse. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and cannot wait to learn more challenging songs with our new-found skill!
