18 Jul Year 5 and 6 performance – Oliver!
Year 5 were called to support Year 6 in their end of year production of the classic tale Oliver! They learned the lyrics and dances to all songs and followed directional cues perfectly. Every spare moment in class was used to revise the song words, so that they could perform to the highest standard in front of their parents and carers. Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed supporting Year 6 and have already started requesting what they wish to perform next year!
Year 6 have had a number of dress rehearsals this week in the run up to the real performances for parents and carers today. This has meant that the children have needed to do lots of costume changes and spend a lot of time in the hall. Despite this, they raised their game and performed wonderfully – speaking loudly and clearly, acting confidently, singing beautifully and dancing energetically. Well done Year 6 for entertaining us all!
