10 Nov Year 4 – Strike a Pose
In Year 4, we have started our new wider curriculum theme, ‘Strike a Pose’. For our entry point, children were asked to bring in their favourite clothes and outfits so they could share and talk about them. They were very keen to discuss the reasons why the clothes were their favourites. We had everything from party dresses to casual wear, from football kits to traditional ethnic clothes, from dazzling costumes to gifts from relatives abroad. Eager to strike poses, children took lots of group pictures, we even got to see a fun catwalk show!
In this curriculum theme, we will be learning about clothes and the fashion industry, and reading the book ‘Bill’s New Frock’ by Anne Fine.
