This term we will be focusing on ‘Living Things and Their Habits’ in Science. This week we started of with the Big Question: ‘How can you classify animals?’ We looked at how the animal kingdom can be classified into vertebrates and invertebrates. We focused on the five main groups within vertebrates and how different characteristics can help identify what group an animal falls within. The children looked at pictures of different animals and grouped them into amphibians, fish, reptiles, mammals or birds based on their characteristics.
