28 Nov Year 4 – Orla Kierly
Year 4 have been studying the incredible works of the designer Orla Kiely. We began by observing her work and patterns; the children described her prints as bold, warm and natural. Having imitating her designs, pupils creating their own designs in the style of Orla Kiely. The designs were transferred onto polystyrene tiles and then printed onto paper using paint. The children learned how repeating the process creates repetitive print patterns.
