In Science, we have been investigating forces. We learned that a force can be a push or a pull. We thought about the different forces that we use every day, such as pulling a chair out or pushing a button on a control. We talked about gravity – an invisible force that pulls everything down to the ground. Then, we completed an experiment about friction. We lifted a ramp higher by 10cm at a time to see at which height gravity was stronger than the friction of the surface. We discussed how to make the test fair. We discovered that rough, uneven surfaces have more friction than smooth, even surfaces.
