27 Sep Year 3 – Maths
In Maths, we have been focusing upon understanding numbers to 1000. We have learned that the value of a digit is because of their place in a number. We have been partitioning numbers into hundreds, tens and ones. 471 = 400 + 70 = 1, before investigating how we can flexibly partition numbers (which is breaking numbers down into different ways). For example: 471 = 300 + 150 + 21. We are really good at using the concrete resources to explain our learning.
