17 Jan Year 1 Maths- Place Value
In Year 1, we have been looking at place value. We used Base 10 to help us represent the tens and ones in numbers and used the sentence to help embed our learning, “__ has __ tens and __ ones”.
We furthered our understanding by looking closely at the digits in each number on the hundred square, and used our new learning to help us understand what these represent. We then took turns describing a number by its tens and ones for our partner to guess.
