Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring Term 2026 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
A wonderful half term!
What a busy term it has been for learning. Our curriculum themes have been completed. We have enjoyed a range of trips culminating with the Nursery taking their first off site trip linked to their theme of transport, ‘Off We Go!’ and heading off for a train ride to Upminster. The children were very excited to see and actually travel by train. Thank you to all the parents and carers who supported to the trip a great success.

World Book Day – Thursday 5th March

We are delighted to announce that we will be celebrating World Book Day in school on Thursday 5th March. This is always a wonderful occasion and this year, our focus will be on promoting one of the most important gifts we can give our children – a genuine love of reading for pleasure.
To make the day even more special, we invite children to come dressed as their favourite book character. If they would prefer, they are very welcome to come to school in their favourite pyjamas – perfect for cosy reading! Children should also bring along their favourite book and be prepared to share what makes it such a good read.
We are also thrilled to invite parents and carers to join us for a special shared reading session with your child.

Careers Week at Parsloes – updates
At Parsloes one of our school values is being aspirational. Last week we met that value across the school as we found out about different careers paths that we might be interested in for the future.
Please see the posts below to see what the happened over the week including when Year 6 met an Oxford graduate who is on a career path to be a historian and university lecturer. They had many very intelligent questions about university including how much it costs, how to access funding, what subjects are available to study and many more. Many were inspired by the session.
