Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring Term 2026 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
Careers Week at Parsloes
At Parsloes one of our school values is being aspirational. This week we have met that value across the school as we found out about different careers paths that we might be interested in for the future. Every pupil signed up for a workshop to find out more about a chosen career. These included how to become a teacher, illustrator, engineer, theme park designer, photographer, chef, pilot, gardener, yoga specialist, doctor, nurse and engineer.
We also welcomed a range of visitors who met and talked to the children. These included a police officer, professor, artist, fund raiser, IT specialist and nurse. The children were truly inspired. One pupil commented ‘This is the best day ever, my dream was to meet a police officer and today that dream came true.’

Reading Champion School

Reading at Parsloes is a priority. We ensure that all pupils receive the best education we can offer so that our pupils learn to read fluently and with enthusiasm. Parsloes is proud to be a Little Wandle Champion School. This week we welcomed schools from from across the country to see reading in action in our classrooms. The pupils showed their reading skills and their behaviour was impeccable. We are very proud of our young people and their achievements. If you would like any advice regarding supporting your child’s reading progress please see your child’s class teacher.
