Attendance Matters
School attendance matters to everyone at Parsloes Primary School because every day in school helps your child grow, learn, and feel confident in their school community. When children attend school regularly they learn more, develop good habits for life, build friendships and are able to maximise their full potential. School starts at 8.50. After that time your child is late for their learning.
Our attendance target for every pupil is 96.5% or higher. You may not realise that if your child has 90% attendance this will mean they have missed 19 days of school and over 100 lessons. That’s a lot of education!
Every school day counts, together we can give children the very best chance to succeed, now and in the future. If you would like to discuss your child’s attendance further please contact a member of the school office. Lets work together to ensure your child receives the best education we can offer by being at school every day.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!
Handwriting Competition
At Parsloes Primary one of our priorities is to ensure that all pupils can write using the correct formation of letters at the correct size, joining correctly and writing fluently and legibly. We are focusing on handwriting in school and to celebrate this we are holding a whole school handwriting competition. Pupils will write a short poem in their best handwriting in one of their handwriting lessons. Winners will be announced in assembly during the last week of this half term. Good luck everyone!
