Dear Parents/Carers,
Autumn Term 2025 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of this first half term the children have all done so well settling into their new classes and year groups. Don’t forget to check the blogs at the end of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class!
Book Fair comes to Parsloes!

Thank you to all the parents and carers who supported our school Book Fair this week. It was truly wonderful to see the Main Hall buzzing with excitement and packed with children eager to choose their next reading adventure.
All funds raised will go directly towards enhancing reading at our school.
Parents Evening
It was wonderful to see so many of our parents and carers at parents evening this week. We recognise the important role that parents and carers play in their child’s education and know that we can achieve the best outcomes for children when we work together.
Next term we will open our doors once again on Friday 5th December for you to come and see the progress your child will make over the coming half term on their books. More information to follow.
Time to Talk
A reminder that our NEW school nurse, Nicola Stevens will be leading the first Time to Talk session on Wednesday 5th November. She will be talking about health issues and answer any questions you may have. We will be inviting professionals every fortnight to support parents with a range of relevant topics. More information to follow.
Refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you at the launch on Wednesday 5th November at 8.55am.

Half term
Please remember school closes today and will re-open at 8.40am on Monday 3rd November. We wish you are very happy and safe half term break.
Save the date – Armistice Day
11th November 10.45am
A short service will be held on Tuesday 11th November at 10.45am on our school site to commemorate Armistice day. You will be welcome to attend alongside the children for this service. More information to follow.
Uniform
If you need any uniform for your child that is second-hand but in good condition, please come along to the main office and we will support you.
Please note that red fleeces can be worn as a coat but are not part of our official school uniform so are not to be worn in place of the school uniform. Please refer to the uniform list below.
Musician of the Week
Every week, we learn about a different musician in school, from different time periods, cultures and styles of music. This supports our knowledge our music through time and the artists, composers and musicians who created it. This term we have been listening to a wide range of genres including Pop, Rock and Classical. The children are exposed and discuss the music theme in class each week.
