Dear Parents/Carers,
Autumn Term 2025 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
Time to Talk – Calling all Parents!
We are pleased to announce the launch of Time to Talk. This element of our parental engagement strategy will start after half term with a guest speaker every week.
Our NEW school nurse, Nicola Stevens will be leading the first session on Wednesday 5th November. She will be talking about health issues and answer any questions you may have. We will be inviting professionals every fortnight to support parents with a range of relevant topics. More information to follow.
Refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you at the launch on Wednesday 5th November at 8.55am.

Curriculum Exit Points
Our curriculum themes are coming to an end for this half term. At the end of each term we share some year group learning. These are called exit points. It was the turn this week of the Reception pupils to share their learning with parents. Next week Year 1 and 4 parents and carers are invited in to see the work of the pupils in those year groups. We look forward to seeing you there!

At Parsloes we promote the voice of the child at all times. We are pleased to introduce Team Protect. Team Protect are a group of pupil leaders who are passionate about ensuring other pupils are happy in school. They are tasked with ensuring that at break and lunch times they are a friendly face who can support others to feel part of a group. The team is overseen by Mrs Deville.

Half term
We are coming to the end of this half term. The school closes for half term next Thursday 23rd October at the usual times. Friday 24th October is a training day for teaching staff. We will re-open at 8.40am on Monday 3rd November.
Uniform
If you need any uniform for your child that is second-hand but in good condition, please come along to the main office and we will support you.
Please note that red fleeces can be worn as a coat but are not part of our official school uniform so are not to be worn in place of the school uniform. Please refer to the uniform list below.
Musician of the Week
Every week, we learn about a different musician in school, from different time periods, cultures and styles of music. This supports our knowledge our music through time and the artists, composers and musicians who created it. This term we have been listening to a wide range of genres including Pop, Rock and Classical. The children are exposed and discuss the music theme in class each week.
