Dear Parents/Carers,
Autumn Term 2025 Newsletter – Edition 64
Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Curriculum
This week all pupils started their new curriculum themes. Our carefully planned curriculum builds skills and knowledge progressively each year. This helps our pupils make links across subjects and develop a love of learning. Thank you for supporting regular attendance and supporting your child at home. Your child will start to bring homework home from next week. Please encourage and support your child to achieve. If you have any further questions do not hesitate to see your child’s class teacher.
Meet the Teacher
Our Meet the Teacher meetings took place this week. Your child will have brought home the information shared at the meeting. The teacher presentations will also be available via our website. If you require any further information please see your child’s class teacher.
Attendance
At Parsloes we know that good attendance is one of the biggest factors in every child’s success. We have many incentives in school to encourage good attendance. Missing just one day every two weeks adds up to nearly a month of lost learning each year. Please ensure your child gets the very best start by ensuring they:
- Arrive on time every day at 8.40am
- Book any appointments outside of school hours
- Establish good bedtime routines as early as possible in your child’s life to ensure your son or daughter gets a good night’s rest
Please do see your child’s class teacher if you need any support with the above.
Extra – Curricular Clubs
We have been overwhelmed with the number of enquiries for our school clubs. You will be informed by Parent Mail this week if your child has a place. Anyone who is not allocated a place will join our waiting list. Payments will be via ParentPay and will be due by Monday. Clubs will start next week.
Wet Play Games
If you have any unwanted games in good condition we would welcome them for the occasions when the weather means we need to stay inside. Please bring along to the school office.
Breakfast Club – NEW!
There are some changes to our Wrap Around Care offer this year.
Breakfast Club run from 7.30am and will include breakfast for the pupils who attend. The price for this provision will be £4.50 per session.
This club is led by Mrs Crane and Mrs Savill.
Uniform
If you need any uniform for your child that is second-hand but in good condition, please come along to the main office and we will support you.
Please note that red fleeces can be worn as a coat but are not part of our official school uniform so are not to be worn in place of the school uniform. Please refer to the uniform list below.
Musician of the Week
Every week, we learn about a different musician in school, from different time periods, cultures and styles of music. This supports our knowledge our music through time and the artists, composers and musicians who created it. Next week we are listening to the music of Stevie Wonder.
