Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring Term 2025 Newsletter – Edition 62
Dear Parents and Carers,
Goodbye Year 6!
This week has been a busy week for our Year 6 pupils, who have now ended their journey with us here at Parsloes. The week began with two wonderful performances of Aladdin and I am sure that anyone who came to watch would agree that they finished in style! On Wednesday they enjoyed a school disco, where we saw some spectacular moves from the children, as well as some from the teachers! We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of Year 6 all the best for the future as they start the next chapter of their lives. Thank you to all of the parents / carers for your continued support over the years.

Junior Duke Award
Throughout the year children across the school have been working hard to complete a range of exciting and purposeful challenges as part of the Junior Duke Award. Designed to help develop independence, resilience and a sense of personal achievement, the award encourages pupils to try new things, step outside their comfort zones and grow in confidence. From learning life skills to taking on creative and physical tasks, each challenge brings something new. Well done to all pupils who achieved the Junior Duke Award this year!
Rocksteady!
We are looking to offer our children music tuition next year through Rocksteady Music School and today your child has had an exciting assembly and workshop to introduce this initiative. This will be a fantastic opportunity that will allow our children to experience the joy of making music in a fun, inclusive, and engaging way.
Tuition will be led by expert musicians who will teach our pupils to play instruments such as the drums, keyboard and guitar. They will also have the opportunity to learn vocal techniques. As part of the tuition, our children will form their own Rock Band and have the opportunity to perform in front of audiences throughout the year.
Please use the link below to find out more information. Your child will also bring a letter home from school today with additional information.
Extra Curricular Clubs
Next year, we are excited to offer our pupils a wider range of extra curricular clubs that will run after school. The sports clubs on offer will include football, multisports, dance and dodgeball. These clubs will be run by Premier Education. Please see the attached information for more details or use the link below to book.
Wrap Around Care
There will be some changes to our Wrap Around Care offer next year.
Breakfast Club will run from 7.30am and will include breakfast for the pupils who attend. The price for this provision will be £4.50 per session.
After School Club will continue to run until 6.00pm. Please see the links below for information, prices and booking details.
