Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring Term 2025 Newsletter – Edition 51
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to the start of the Summer term. I hope you had a restful break and are now ready for a new term full of learning and engaging lessons. We were excited to welcome the children back to school. The week has started with a wide range of curriculum entry points. Please take a look at the posts below for more information about the learning that has taken place this week.
Save the Date – Thursday 8th May
VE day (Victory in Europe) celebrations

This year is the 80th anniversary of VE day. We will be celebrating at Parsloes on Thursday 8th May and learning about VE day and it’s historical importance.
This will be a non uniform day. We ask that your child wears red, white or blue to celebrate the colours of the union flag or dress as a child from the 1940s. From 12.15 – 12.45 parents and carers are invited to come along to join us for a special picnic lunch. Entry will be via the Spurling Road gate. We look forward to celebrating this day with you. More information will follow next week.
Curriculum Themes
Our pupils started their new curriculum themes this week for this half term. Please see the table below for more details. Our parent overviews will follow via email later today and give you more information about what your child will be learning and how to support your child’s learning at home. If you have any questions please do see your child’s class teacher.
