Dear Parents/Carers,
Summer Term Newsletter – Edition 13
Year 6 SATS
Our wonderful Year 6 pupils have been working very hard all year. Next week they have their SAT tests. These are assessment tests that are administered in England in Year 6 to check educational progress. We wish our pupils the very best of luck next week. If you son or daughter is in Year 6 please ensure you are aware of the arrangements for next week and remember that we are offering breakfast from 8.30am each morning. Please see your child’s class teacher if you have any questions.
Girls Football at the Park
On Thursday some of our Year 3 and 4 girls took a short walk over to the new recently built, state-of-the-art sports centre, in Parsloes park, to take part in a Girl’s Fun Football session. The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves, playing against other schools across the borough and meeting female coaches and players. Well done girls! Please see the post below for photos.
Pupil Leaders – Team Protect
Our pupil leaders have been out and about this week. Team Protect have been investigating our happy and safe environment.
Codie and Winifred in Year 4 reported that, “Children are playing together in the playground and everyone seen is getting along! We have some tasks to work on with Mrs. Deville.”
Kaylen and Ruby in Year 3 reported that “Many children are being respectful and understanding.”
House Challenge
Our next House Challenge takes place on Friday 24th May and celebrates World Day – Cultural Diversity. This will be a non uniform day and there will be a special international cuisine for lunch and a Caribbean themed Wake and Shake before school. Please look out for the letter to follow.
Uniform
Please ensure that your child always comes to school in the correct, full school uniform and footwear. Please ensure they also have the correct PE kit and a plain dark track suit to wear outside.
If you need any uniform for your child that is second hand but in good condition please come along to the main office and we will support you.
