At Parsloes Primary School, the implementation of the EAL curriculum and profile supports planning, organisation, teaching and assessment procedures, along with the use of resources and strategies to meet the needs of pupils who have English as an additional language. We strive to provide EAL pupils and parents with a safe, welcoming, nurturing environment where they are accepted, valued and encouraged to participate. For example, language of the half term, language leaders, English classes are provided for parents and an intensive 12-week intervention is provided for children with little or no English.
