Ready for Nursery stay and play sessions
We were excited to welcome our new Nursery parents and children to their weekly visit to our school. It has been a pleasure to see the children grow in confidence and independence over the past 6 weeks during these stay and play sessions. Thank you to all our new families and we look forward to welcoming you formally to our school community in September.

Sports Day – House Challenge

Sports Day was a fantastic opportunity for our children to enjoy being active while developing confidence, resilience, teamwork and determination.

Our pupils competed in races and cheering on their classmates and every child had the chance to experience success, challenge themselves and demonstrate our school values.

The Egg and Spoon Race
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported and celebrated with us. Together, we made Sports Day a joyful occasion that showcased not only sporting achievement but also the strength of our school community.

Coming Soon – Hercules!

Year 5 and 6 end of year production
SAVE THE DATE – TUESDAY 15TH AND WEDNESDAY 16TH JULY.
Our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils are excited to present their spectacular production of Hercules! After weeks of rehearsals, singing, dancing and learning their lines, they are looking forward to sharing their hard work and talents with family and friends.
Taking part in a school production is a wonderful opportunity for children to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork and resilience. Every child has an important role to play, and we are incredibly proud of the commitment and enthusiasm they have shown throughout rehearsals.
We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be an entertaining and memorable performance. Thank you for your continued support—we can’t wait to see you there as we celebrate the achievements of our talented Year 5 and Year 6 pupils!

Summer Reading Challenge

We’re really pleased to share information with you about this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, Read to the Beat!
It will be running in all Barking and Dagenham Libraries throughout the Summer holidays – our launch time here will be at the beginning of the holidays, and we look forward to seeing as many children sign up as possible over the six weeks!
Children just need to sign up at their local library, read six books of their choice, collecting stickers and small prizes along the way, and at the end they will receive a certificate and medal. (The Challenge can also be completed online although the rewards are virtual)
Transition Afternoon
Today all pupils met their new class teacher. Please refer to the teacher profile that your child brought home from school today. Please share and discuss this with your child. Maybe your child could create their own over the summer to share with their new teacher!
Please talk positively about the transition with your child, celebrate the exciting opportunities ahead and reassure children that feeling a little nervous is completely normal. Working together, we can ensure every child has a happy, confident and successful start to the new school year.
You will have the opportunity to come along and meet your child’s class teacher in September.
