Dear Parents/Carers,
Summer Term 2026 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another busy term and year, I wish you all a very happy and safe summer break. Thank you for all your support this year to ensure your children made the greatest progress.
There have been many opportunities this week for farewells from our Nursery picnic, Year 6 end of year party, Year 5 and 6 School Production, our Leavers assembly and final farewells to all pupils.

Farewell to Year 6 pupils
As we say farewell to our wonderful Year 6 pupils, we do so with enormous pride in everything they have achieved during their time at our school. They have grown into confident, kind and resilient young people who are ready to embrace the exciting opportunities that secondary school will bring.
Throughout this year, they have shown increasing independence, maturity and determination, whether in the classroom, on visits, through sporting events, performances, or by taking on leadership roles across the school. They have supported one another, risen to new challenges and demonstrated the values that make our school community so special, respect, understanding, positivity and aspiration.
We know they will continue to flourish as they begin the next chapter of their education in Year 7. While they will be greatly missed, they leave with our confidence that they are well prepared for the future.
On behalf of all the staff and governors, we wish each and every one of our Year 6 pupils every success, happiness and fulfilment in secondary school and beyond. Remember, you will always be a valued part of our school family, and we look forward to hearing about all that you achieve in the years ahead.
Leavers Assembly
Our Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly was a truly memorable occasion, providing an opportunity to reflect on the children’s journey through primary school and to celebrate all Year 6 have achieved.
A highlight of the assembly was the presentation of our annual awards. Each and every Year 6 pupil had a special recognition for their contribution to the school and received a commemorate key chain.
In addition, we awarded our Year 6 special achievement cups for the most achieved all rounder, the Parkin Cup and commitment to Parsloes, the Fred Jones’ Cup. The cups were presented to Patrick and Jaiden. Our Year 3 Glen Neal Cup was awarded to Dua. Congratulations to all of our award winners, whose accomplishments have inspired both their peers and the wider school community.

Patrick and Jaiden awarded the Parkin Cup and Fred Jones Cup.
We are incredibly proud of every member of Year 6. As they leave us for the next stage of their education, we wish them every success and happiness for the future.
Year 5 and 6 Production – Hercules
A huge congratulations to our talented Year 5 and Year 6 pupils for their outstanding production of Hercules. They delivered a truly spectacular performance, entertaining audiences with their confident acting, wonderful singing, energetic dancing and excellent teamwork.

Year 5 and 6 End of Year Production!
Every Year 5 and 6 child should be incredibly proud of the commitment, resilience and enthusiasm they showed throughout weeks of rehearsals. Their confidence grew with every performance, and it was wonderful to see them supporting and encouraging one another both on and off the stage.
Our sincere thanks also go to our dedicated staff, families and the wider school community for their encouragement and support. The production was a fantastic celebration of creativity, collaboration and the many talents of our pupils, creating memories that will stay with them for years to come.
Well done, Year 5 and Year 6!

Year 6 – End of Year Party

Year 6 get ready to party!
Our Year 6 Leavers’ End of Year party was a fantastic way to celebrate the end of primary school together. The time was filled with music, dancing, laughter and plenty of happy memories as pupils enjoyed spending time with their friends before embarking on secondary school.
It was wonderful to see everyone celebrating in such a positive and respectful way, reflecting the strong friendships they have built throughout their time at our school. The dancing was fantastic! A huge thank you to our staff who helped organise such a memorable event.
Bikeability
Our Level 2 bikeability pupils had a great adventure this week when they took their bikes for a ride to Harrow Lodge Country Park. They set off at 10am with drinks and snacks for the 8 mile bike ride ahead of them. The children had a great time reinforcing their biking skills in the real world.

School Allotment
Our school allotment continues to flourish and has become a wonderful outdoor learning space for our pupils. Thanks to the dedication of our Gardening Club and Eco Warriors, the allotment is thriving with a variety of vegetables and herbs.

School allotment growing well!
Pupils have worked hard to plant, water and care for the growing produce and have delighted in sharing the progress with a variety of visitors, including our Chair of Governors, Mrs Dawn Larkin.
We look forward to seeing the allotment continue to grow and thank everyone who has supported this fantastic project throughout the year. We hope to create a pumpkin patch next term. More details in September!

We wish him the very best of luck there. Our Reception teacher Mrs Osborne has taken up a permanent post after her year working with us part time and Miss Shubh leaves us after covering Miss Haque’s maternity leave. We also say farewell to one of our support staff colleagues, Miss Mahmood who is taking a new venture in teacher training.
