Multiplication Tables Check
Our Year 4 pupils have started to sit their Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). The MTC is designed to check whether pupils can fluently recall their times tables up to 12×12. Its an online check that takes around 5 minutes to complete. The pupils have been working hard to learn their tables. Please continue to support your child at home to learn their tables as this is essential for many areas of maths.
Phonics Screening Check
Next week our Year 1 pupils will have their Phonics screening check. The Phonics Screening check is a statutory assessment for all Year 1 pupils in England. It checks whether children have learnt to decode words using phonics. As a Little Wandle Champion school reading is a priority at Parsloes and the pupils are well prepared and will be supported throughout. Please continue to support your child by reading with them at least three times each week.
Sponsored Sports Day
Save the date – Friday 20th June
Please look out for our Sports day letter that will be sent today via Parentmail. We are pleased to invite parents and carers along to see our pupils challenged in a range of sports activities. This year we are including a fun run that we are asking all parents and carers to sponsor. All money raised will support the school to raise funds to purchase school resources for the outdoor areas.
Lunch Menu – Summer Term
Some of our Year 6 pupils have been helping us to redesign our lunch menu. We are pleased to say this is now in place. Please see the link below.
